About Our Company
In 1999, John Slazyk and Steven Gattoni founded Schnell Contracting Systems in Freehold, N.J., on the principal of furnishing quality restoration and waterproofing services to a specialized construction market. These partners each brought experience from building material sales into the new venture, thereby applying their knowledge of service, reliability and product performance to field applications. Much of what they learned in the sales market became the foundation of doing business in the construction forum. “At Schnell Contracting we see a favorable difference between customer and client. We strive to deliver ongoing solutions to customers’ waterproofing and restoration needs, while developing a continuing relationship with each client, not just project to project, “says Gattoni, vice president of Schnell Contracting.

Slazyk and Gattoni have developed a team approach to handling projects with personal hands-on attention. They are dedicated to developing an open client relationship while providing state-of-the-art technical solutions to meet the unique needs of each project. “Our strength lies in our ability to adapt our specialty services to the needs of our clients, “says Slazyk.

From their office in central New Jersey, Slazyk and Gattoni service projects throughout the Northeast corridor. The company has grown into a recognized industry leader for a wide range of restoration and remedial waterproofing services in addition to specializing in preventive waterproofing on new construction. Quality work under the capable hands of experienced project managers and trained craftsmen has earned Schnell Contracting Systems a reputation as a leader to concrete restoration and repair. The company’s tradespeople have been trained through manufacturers’ product programs and trade seminars, resulting in project teams equipped to tackle jobs with confidence and expertise.
